There’s an old computation slogan out there: Garbage In, Garbage Out, which is self-explanatory. This term can be applied to humans for a variety of things, especially IQ.
This slogan can also be the opposite with quality in, quality out. In this article, I’ll be demonstrating to you that by showing you foods that are proven to increase your IQ because IQ is important for living the life you always wanted. Besides, no one likes stupid people.
Fish
The first good food to consume is fish, particularly salmon.
Salmon and many other types of fish have an abundance of Omega-3 fatty acids, which is an important nutrient for our body, especially the brain.
The University of Pennsylvania found that children who ate fish products at least once a week slept better at night and scored four points higher on various IQ tests compared to the control group who consumed less fish.
Omega-3 is even used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, depression, and other types of developmental disabilities.
There are other non-cognitive benefits as well like skin, heart, and even body inflammation.
With all this in mind, you will definitely need omega-3 in your life, and thus, if you want the benefits, including intelligence, you will need to eat fish products because these are the ones that are the richest sources of omega-3.
Nuts
The second food to increase your mental potential is nuts; this means cashew, peanuts, almonds, walnuts, and other types of nuts, which could help you turn into a Jimmy Neutron.

Some vegetables contain antioxidants that will help prevent brain degeneration due to aging.

There are countless other benefits as well… so much so that to leave vegetables out of your diet would be irresponsible, especially for children.
Seriously, there is no reason not to eat vegetables at all!
Dark chocolate
The fourth food that can secretly and subtly increase your brain activity is dark chocolate.
Apparently, dark chocolate can prove blood brain flow, oxygen levels, and nerve functions.
Now, note that this does not mean it will increase your IQ by itself. Instead, this will increase factors that can help you mentally.
This also is a short-term benefit, meaning it will help you for a couple hours to a day after eating the chocolate itself then everything goes back to normal.
Dark chocolate also contains antioxidants and keeps the heart healthy.
You need to take note moderation is key! Too much chocolate is not good for you.
Plus, many types of chocolate are high in sugar, fats, and other calories; so you will have to go for ones that have no added sugar at all and these could taste bitter.
Overall, dark chocolate can be a dessert that can actually help you mentally.
Berries
The fifth food is berries, like blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, and more.
All the berries are loaded with antioxidants to slow down aging and damage to cells.
For example, a study found that individuals consumed more strawberries and blueberries had correlations with lower cognitive decline.
In addition to having high amounts of antioxidants, there are also several minerals and vitamins. This will translate to better heart health, clearer arteries, and a better state of mind.
Berries should be included in your diet as they will indirectly help you with your intelligence.
Beans
The six food to get into your diet our beans like black beans or lentils.
Beans can stabilize glucose levels, which the brain depends on for fuel, meaning the brain can run more efficiently due to receiving steady streams of energy.
Beans also contain high amounts of protein that can maintain and repair parts of the body including the brain.
There’s also folate for the red blood cells, antioxidants for fighting aging damages, and even keeping the heart healthy for circulation throughout the body.
So, whether it be black beans, lima beans, or pinto beans, you will experience the mental benefits directly or indirectly and thus you should mix beans into your diet.
These foods can enable you to achieve higher IQ with the nutrients provided. You really need to somehow include them into your diet if you’re actually serious about getting smart.
